Welcome to the online conference "Balancing Unpaid Care Work"

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, We would like to discuss why unpaid care work is unevenly distributed between women and men – and how to achieve an equal distribution of paid work and unpaid care work. A talk with the German Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth Dr Franziska Giffey, the presentation of the civil society alliance “Sorgearbeit fair teilen” and an expert discussion on the Gender Care Gap are part of the programme. Our half-day online conference will take place on 4 September from 3.15 p.m. – 5.40 p.m. The link to the live stream will be published on this page ahead of time. It will be possible to participate in the expert discussion in English. The conference is the closing conference of the “Gender Care Gap” project – a project by the German Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and the Institute for Social Work and Social Education (ISS).
